The partnership began in 2001 with the formation of Kathy Ireland Home by Standard where Standard Furniture were authorized to manufacture furniture for designers.
Though the exact reason for the termination was not announced, there has been speculation that the deal was called off due to the strategic development plans of Kathy Ireland.
Both the companies have gone on to confirm that they would ensure that customers are not affected by transition, until the new furniture partner is announced.
Kathy Ireland Worldwide is the design and marketing firm founded in 1993 by CEO and Chief Designer, Kathy Ireland. Kathy Ireland Home by Standard is a division of Standard Furniture Manufacturing Co. Inc which was supplying an entire range of home furniture including bedroom, dining room, living room and occasional furniture to Kathy Ireland Worldwide.
