The revamped LEED-certified facility imbibes a host of green features. It includes use of low-E insulated units and high-performance equipments. The building has been reinsulated to reap energy savings. Energy consumption is further reduced with installation of occupancy sensors and time clocks for lighting systems.

The air conditioning equipment incorporated in the building has been upgraded to use a more ozone safe gas. The facility has also been fitted with low-flow plumbing fixtures to cut down water usage by 35%.

The revamped building makes use of 20% new reclaimed materials. Further, 50% of materials removed from the current building during the overhaul process have been diverted from reaching the landfills. Use of low-VOC paints, adhesives, sealants, flooring and systems furniture add to the facility’s sustainability by improving its indoor air quality. Incorporation of electric vehicle charging stations boosts the green venture.
