Leela Palace Kempinski, Indian hospitality company Leela Group’s newest luxury hotel, has unveiled the second spa in India from ESPA, the award winning spa design and consultancy. The first ESPA spa in India was opened at The Leela Palace Kempinski in Udaipur.

Designed by Jeffrey Wilkes, the 6,500 square feet, two-level ESPA at The Leela Delhi is distinct for the unique use of natural wood, hand-carved indigenous stone and Indian tussah silk. Indian rosewood lines the walls and the floors are laid with white Pokarna granite. The ceilings are carved with white Makarana marble and are hand-embellished with silver leaf.

The first floor of the spa has been designed to accommodate a café, a fitness centre with Technogym equipment, separate relaxation areas for men and women, changing rooms and sauna and steam rooms on the first floor. The second floor houses seven treatment rooms, a spa suite for couples, a relaxation room for women and the ‘finishing studio’.

The 260 room Leela Palace Kempinski New Delhi is located in the exclusive Diplomatic Enclave. The hotel is in close proximity to the Presidential Palace, Prime Minister’s office, ministries, embassies, central business districts and historical monuments. This luxury hotel in New Delhi boasts rooms that are considered among the largest in the capital spanning more than 550 square feet while the Presidential Suite sprawls over 4300 square feet with all state-of-the-art amenities.
