The new athletic village involves more than $1.5 million in upgrades since the past two years. The project has renovated all the soccer fields used for soccer, baseball, and softball with improved grading, irrigation and drainage.
The project has led to the installation of new scoreboards, as well as new brick field backstops for baseball and softball. The facility has also been equipped with upgraded lighting fixtures. The seating for spectators has undergone an expansion. In addition, there has been incorporation of ornamental fencing and monument gates as part of the project.
The athletic village has received a lead gift which is the largest ever for LETU athletics. It has also got gifts from individuals and firms in the Longview area.
