Designed to enhance beauty, the Maia Skincare Shower features a distinctive New Zealand design. It features an integral vitamin C cartridge inside the handset that releases vitamin C into the water stream, helping to purify the water by reducing the chlorine and combating the drying effect of chlorine on skin and hair.
The Maia Skincare Shower features a height-adjustable rail shower; a four-function handset offering three types of spray; and a contemporary, smooth-style hose for easy cleaning, which is fitted with a swivel end to minimise twisting.
The shower is equipped with its award-winning Satinjet technology, which claims to save water and energy without compromising performance. Satinjet technology uses just nine litres of water per minute, saving up to 55% on water and energy consumption. Unlike conventional shower sprays that use single jets of water to produce a narrow spray, Maia’s twin-jet design produces various tiny droplets to provide an invigorating shower experience for the entire body.
The rotating showerhead offers four settings for the face and body and offers three types of spray Satinjet body shower, body massage and facial massage. By twisting the showerhead, the spray can be changed from either the standard Satinjet spray or the massage spray, to the facial massage option, allowing the user to choose the sensory experience. When in facial massage mode, water passes only through the outer jets, creating a ‘breathing zone’, which lets the user enjoy a longer face-washing session. This gentle spray also allows the user to fully immerse their face without fear of broken capillaries. In body mode, water cascades over the skin rather than bouncing off, ensuring better coverage.
Maia was launched in Europe and the UK in March 2011 and was also showcased at Ecobuild and ISH 2011.
