The reinvented Mandee store feature a central fashion runway, large TV screens, bold fashion graphics, and color-changing light emitting diodes (LEDs). The 8,000 square feet store also hosts regular performances by music artists and model hunt contests for advertising campaigns. The concepts adopted at Clifton will serve as the model for future store openings, and will influence the remodeling of current locations.
New Jersey-based architectural firm Tricarico Architecture and Design was roped in to create a boutique-cum-rockstar party retail experience, with a fashion runway taking centerstage. The enamel white runway is designed as a permanent part of the store’s interior for consumer events.
Currently Mandee has 115 stores and 2,400 employees in eight states in the US, in addition to a strong online component. The stores offer bold graphics and colorful merchandise, including sportswear, lingerie, footwear, dresses, cosmetics, swimwear and accessories. Mandee plans to open new stores in New York and Chicago in 2010.
