The rebuilt facility at Peters Creek Parkway is bigger than the old one and has seating capacity for about 250 people.

Construction of a new restaurant began in January 2008 at a cost of $1.8 million, and was delayed due to problems in the design and position of the building.

The new space encompasses 6,100 square feet of space, about 20% larger than the old building’s 5,200 square feet. The kitchen is spacious, along with a larger lobby and restrooms. The menu also features additional items.

There are 23 Mayflower restaurants in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee. The flagship Mayflower on Peters Creek Parkway opened in 1980.
