The new McCafé stores will feature comfortable seating areas, porcelain dishes and pastries from France.

The first McCafé shop will open in Tel Aviv, in place of an old McDonald’s branch and will feature a regular McDonald’s seating area as well as the new McCafé section.

The second branch will open inside the Ramat Gan McDonald’s branch which has recently undergone a $1 million renovation.

McDonald’s Israel is currently branching out into the espresso bar market and plans to compete with espresso bar chains by offering lower prices and deals. Other renovated McDonald’s shops with an area large enough host the coffee chain will be opened by the company in the future.

Branching out into the coffee business is part of the company’s strategy to expand into the fast food market while maintaining its accessible prices.
