The renovation plans include new flooring, plasterboard walls, doors, refreshed paint colors, better lighting and installation of new equipments in the operating rooms. A new x-ray system that will archive digital pictures will be installed, which provides access via computer monitors rather than light boxes.
Stephen Morrissey, the director of engineering and George Hemick, assistant director of engineering, are working on the renovation project in collaboration with Barney Biviano and Martha Larkin, director of Perioperative Services, and clinical nurse manager of Perioperative Services respectively.
The work is expected to reach completion in March.
