Dave replaces Chris Wood, son of one of the founder members of Mumford & Wood, who will embark on and develop a new career utilising his many talents and professional capabilities.

The move follows closely on the acquisition by PWG of timberwindows.com and the injection of additional capital from Graphite Capital.

“I have been with Mumford & Wood almost all my working life,” says Chris Wood, “and I’ve learned a great deal about high performance, quality window design and manufacture and I feel ready to take this knowledge and experience in another direction.” The 55-year old company is a specialist in the production of Conservation period style windows and doorsets, perfect for renovation and traditional new build projects, as well as Contemporary products ideally suited to today’s modular modern architecture. Products carry the BFRC energy ratings from C to A, are Kitemarked and Energy Trust rated, and carry the Secured by Design police-initiative badge.

Dave Snowling, previously Operations Director of Mumford & Wood, will take the new position with immediate effect and will report directly to the Board of PWG bringing drive and enthusiasm to the sustained and unprecedented growth the company has experienced since its takeover in October 2006.

“To the detriment of other materials, the timber window market is growing at a phenomenal rate,” says Dave Snowling. “This truly sustainable material is the first choice of construction professionals and today’s eco-conscious home owners and I will enjoy the opportunity to ensure Mumford & Wood continues its deserved leadership of the quality timber fenestration sector.”

Mumford & Wood is a member of the British Wood Federation TWA Scheme and a founder member of the Wood Window Alliance.
