The new Yankee Stadium incorporates 506 wheelchair spaces, 530 companion seats and 490 designated aisle transfer seats, facility for the wheelchair user to sit with family members or friends, and Aisle transfer seats to provide easy transition into them for transport.
Other features of the stadium includes 16 public elevators, suites with wheelchair seating locations, accessible restrooms, closed-captioning for hearing impaired people, assistive listening devices, video boards, video monitors, two dedicated captioning boards to notification during emergencies, electrical outlets for re-charging wheelchairs and other medical equipment.
The stadium also features accessible ticket windows, concession counters, Wheelchair lifts, accessible bars and lounges with accessible tables, dining surfaces and counters, accessible routes from each entrance to all public spaces.
Accessible signs throughout the Stadium, both permanent and via video boards and monitors to direct patrons with disabilities to accessible routes and services, and facility for service animals to accompany the people of disabilities.
