The contract will see Abacus install five telescopic masts at the ground allowing floodlit cricket games and the possibility of television coverage for matches.
Abacus has already begun manufacturing the masts, each featuring 60 Challenger 3 floodlights. The flood lights would provide 2000 lux over the wicket maintained lighting level.
When completed, the masts will fully extend to 38 metre and retract to 23 metre. This will maximise the light within the ground for floodlit cricket matches.
