The 16 new hotels will offer a total of 3,642 rooms. This will bring Accor’s total number of rooms in Thailand to 13,539 rooms at the end of 2012. Out of the 16 new hotels planned, 11 will open in 2011 and the rest in 2012.
The 11 hotels to be opened include the Sofitel So Bangkok, Pullman Phuket Arcadia Nai Thon Beach, Hotel Muse, Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai, Veranda Resort and Spa Hua Hin-Cha Am, Novotel Bangkok Impact, Novotel Bangkok Platinum, Mercure Krabi Ao Nang, All Seasons Chiangmai, All Seasons Samui Chaweng and Ibis Hua Hin.
Accor has 10 Novotel properties in the country with the latest being the Novotel Silom. The group will focus on the midmarket and budget categories in Thailand with the Pullman, Novotel and Ibis brands.
