Designed by Maurice Mentjens, the central waiting and retail section of the facility draws references from the city park. The area makes use of several moving sights and sounds to create the feel of a park such as sounds of bicycles, playing children, and chirping of birds. The walls and floors of this zone are adorned with floating digital butterflies which further contributes to providing the natural touch.

The area creates a sense of artificial mobility through incorporating sensory recognition technology as well as pedal power. The application allows passengers have an illusion of the original park experience of riding a bicycle or watching birds and butterflies. The space also provides charging stations for electronic equipment. The seating arrangement in the waiting space is filled with plants and covered by ivy. The area opens out to an outdoor terrace which enhances the green flavour.
