The facility will feature a new dedicated zone for teenagers following the makeover. There will also be creation of extra small group and conference areas, a digital studio, and a larger area to serve technological requirements.
There will be installation of new furniture pieces, substitution of carpeting and shifting of public restrooms post overhaul. The walls will receive fresh coats of paint. Plans are also on for creation of a programming and exhibit area, a new programming room for adults, as well as a more spacious area to showcase library collections.
The project will be financed via library reserves. Construction is slated to be completed within four to five months.
