Originally built in 1995, the Lars vessel was designed by Dutch naval architect Herman Jansen and constructed by Dutch yard Made. The new owner of the yacht has commissioned Balk to finish the rebuild work on Lars.

Balk is working in collaboration with designer Felix Buytendij on the redesign project. The main objective is to offer a more yacht like appearance to Lars. The redesign team has currently removed all of the vessel’s towing equipment. A complete stripping will be done before reconstructive work is carried out.

Lars’ entire superstructure will receive an upgrade. The forward space will get additional shaping, crafting an extra space for air conditioning. The bridge deck structure will be extended. This extension will be designed to accommodate a lounge and fitness room. The stern will be incorporated with a new swimming platform. The dining area will be located on the main deck with the salon. The interior of the yacht will be dominated by sporty style featuring wooden floors throughout.

Lars will be able to accommodate eight guests in an owner’s stateroom and three suites. The vessel will also give room for five crew members.
