The highly sustainable office has received 64 out of 69 total points, making it World’s highest LEED scorer. Designed by India-based architectural practice Sankalpan, the building will accommodate operations of the Bayer’s subsidiary Bayer MaterialScience.

The 10,000 square feet office has net zero energy consumption. The building won maximum points for water efficiency, indoor environmental quality and innovation and design. To achieve ultra green status, the building embraced several sustainable practices, which includes grey water harvesting systems, use of locally-sourced and recyclable materials, double-glazed windows and intelligent lighting and climate control systems.

The building has innovative sun protection materials and a polyurethane-based insulation material, which together reduced the electricity consumption by 70%. The building is powered by means of a solar-power generation system, which generates more power than required by the building.
