Baywood Hotels plans to renovate the 59-room Tremont Park Hotel spead over 13 stories, to include a new national franchise brand. Nimesh Patel, senior advisor with Baywood Hotels, was reported saying that he hopes to reposition the hotel and attract tourists of the Inner Harbor and patients nearby Mercy Medical Center.
Patel also adds that they would announce a new brand for the hotel, which no longer carries the Tremont logo.
Baywood also owns the Holiday Inn Express at 1701 Russell Street in Melbourne.
After the sale of Park Hotel, Tremont Suite Hotels have two other properties remaining – the Tremont Plaza Hotel and the Tremont Grand Historic Venue.
