The cafe forms part of a $58 million reconstruction project of the school. It spans over an area of 17,850 square feet sporting four internal serving stations. The stations includes a salad bar, as well as two outside windows dedicated for a la carte service.
The facility has been equipped with flat-screen monitors which can serve various purposes such as displaying news events of the school or encompassing areas. It possesses a seat capacity of 400 in its interior comprising dining tables. It will also comprise space for an extra 350 in the outside space which has been fitted with picnic-style tables. The accommodation capacity can be raised based on the type of the event and the seating configuration.
The cafe imbibes a host of green features abiding by Green Globe systems specifications. It includes use of reusable plastic trays substituting the existing disposable Styrofoam trays.
In addition, the new facility will function as a hurricane shelter for the school and the community owing to its strong infrastructure.
