Some features of the enhancements are; interactive, exhibition style display grill, implementation of “farmer’s-market” setting, 20% energy savings through reassessment of utility costs and assorted seating arrangements to appeal to all ages of customers; for example intimate areas and banquet space will be included in the new design.

The family restaurant chain’s design enhancements are intended to impart a new branded experience, says Cuningham Group principal David Solner. Buffets, Inc. includes Old Country Buffet, HomeTown Buffet, Country Buffet, Ryan’s, Fire Mountain Grill and Tahoe Joe’s-cut energy consumption while boosting market share with advanced cooking and serving concepts.

The improved design will make its first appearance at the Old Country Buffet in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in July 2009.
