The recently announced $200 million expansion plan includes construction of a seven-story, 337,903 square feet building on the Nicholasville Road hospital campus.

The facility will be designed to house a state-of-the-art cancer center including radiation therapy, a patient-centered chemotherapy/infusion center, an expanded multidisciplinary oncology clinic and CyberKnife. The structure will also accommodate 40 ICU beds and inpatient imaging services; women’s center occupying three floors, including labor and delivery; perinatology, antepartum, surgery suites, nursery, NICU and gynecology beds; and 44 private medical/surgical beds. A five-floor parking structure with two additional floors of medical office space is also planned.

The groundbreaking for the scheme is expected in late mid-2010, slated for completion within 24 to 30 months.
