The pipeline stadium will be built at the site of former Battersea Power Station. The design would integrate the stadium with the power station in a sensitive manner, retaining all its significant historical aspects such as four chimneys and wash towers of the power stadium. The architects also plan to renovate and redevelop the west turbine hall and control room to their original form and locations.

The stadium is likely to boast a capacity to accommodate 60,000 spectators. It will feature a rectangular shape, which is different from the usual elliptical shape of the stadium. The stadium will be built by Almacantar.

The release of the images comes in the wake of Chelsea’s failed bid for the site after a consortium of Malaysian property developers entered exclusive talks to buy Battersea Power Station in a £400 million ($623.2 million) deal, reports Construction Enquirer.
