Designed by retail design consultancy Beyond, Croc collaborated with fitting and retail display specialists Triplar to develop the pop-up store. Located at Old Spitalfields Market, the pop-up store was made within 10 days on a vacant store, sourced by the retail property consultancy twentyretail.
The pop-up store is a celebration of British summertime and showcases Crocs’ range within the concept of ‘Come rain or shine.’ The interior of the store was inspired by Crocs’ brand values of lightness, comfort, colour and fun with features such as a brand history wall and ‘The Duke of Spitalfields Water Bar’ to refresh thirsty customers. Visitors will also get an opportunity of trial before buying shoes from the Crocs range, as well as a chance to preview the brand’s Autumn collection.
Constructed from a variety of materials, an ever present rainbow invites customers into the entrance before continuing through the store. Large 3D signage is also featured that draws shoppers in and is echoed in-store as shoes are displayed on pedestals rising from block ‘Rain’ and ‘Shine’ lettering.
A salvaged juke box, as well as a vintage style bar and mobile cash desk complete the line-up of furniture in-store. Costs were kept down throughout by using printed vinyl to decorate the floor, walls and displays.
The store is open until mid-October 2012.
