The new Hanford Courthouse will be spread over an area of 144,000 square feet and will house 12 courtrooms. The new courthouse will unify all county proceedings in one building and will provide services that are currently unavailable due to lack of space including self-help center, public service counters, and a children’s waiting room.
Preliminary plans for spacing the office is underway. The courthouse will be located on 12th Avenue near West Liberty Street in Hanover. The DLR Group will soon start a design process with AOC stakeholders and Hanford community members.
The courthouse construction will be funded by Senate Bill 1407 and is slated for completion in 2015.
