The new store spanning 645 square meters replaces the previous 443 square meters store. World Duty Free’s latest shop features a 40m shop front and an open-plan layout.

A black three-tiled wide walkway is created through the middle of the store, with an aim to smoothen passenger flow. This spacious walkway allows the customers to walk right through it from one end to the other. There is generous space between the free-standing units that permits free movement of wheeled luggage and bags.

The store is distinct for a World of Whiskies shop-in-shop featuring an extended premium whisky offer and expert advice from specialist staff members. The store stocks new brands and product categories which were not previously available at the airport including leather goods, jewelry from Pandora, Tom Ford fragrances, Chanel color cosmetics and skin care from Sisley.

The opening of the new store follows the security area and departures lounge refurbishment undertaken by airport operator British Airports Authority (BAA), which was a part of GBP40 million (US$60 million) redevelopment of the airport.
