The new lounge, which is expected to open in 2010 at Terminal 1 of the Manchester Airport, is a part of the roll out of lounges across the airline’s network which includes Abu Dhabi, London and Frankfurt.
The 318 square meter lounge will offer a range of features including five-star dining facilities with a selection of international cuisine; a modern business centre providing individual workstations and privacy for people with laptops; a prayer room; a family room, where children can be entertained by nannies; a relaxation area, including high-comfort leather chairs and reading material; and luxurious bathrooms and shower facilities for customers to freshen up before their departure. The lounge will also offer expansive views over the airport’s taxiway and runway.
The premium lounge is seen as a key enhancement for Etihad at the Manchester Airport, in view of the additional capacity provided by the Boeing 777-300 aircraft, which will operate its services from June 2010.
