Sprawling over 24 acres, the Pike & Rose development will redevelop an asphalt parking lot and an auto-oriented strip retail centre into a vibrant, walkable community that will be complete with housing units, retail, office and public spaces. The scheme has been designed by a collaborative team consisting of Streetworks, WDG Architecture and Design Collective Incorporated.

Located in close proximity to the White Flint Metro Station, the Pike & Rose scheme will see development of a total of 3.4 million square feet of space, which will consist of 450,000 square feet of retail, 1.1 million square feet of office space, 1,500 residential units and 250,000 square feet of hotel space.

The Pike & Rose will feature ground floor retail with apartments, offices and hotel space above. The scheme will be enveloped by open plaza parks. The striking elements of the new development will be creative common areas and rooftop garden plots.

The project benefits from Maryland’s Fast Track Program and Administration’s Transit Oriented Development Initiative. The project is the first major project to break ground in the designated White Flint District, which will involve development of 17.6 million square feet of space.
