Named after local philanthropists, the six-storey hospital has an area of 285,000 square feet. It will be built with an adjoining 120,000 square feet medical office building on 22 acres at Pentagon Boulevard and Royal Gateway Road.
The 131-bed hospital will be designed to allow expansion upto 300 beds in future. Other features will include emergency care, general surgery, cardiac care, a mother-baby unit, critical care, and medical imaging and diagnostic services. There is also a dedicated space for an additional tower.
A notable element of the hospital will be the new “town square” concept that allows simple access to guests. The lobby will open out to all the places that a hotel guest or patient wants to find.
The hospital will be completed by the first quarter of 2012. This new facility will be Kettering’s eighth hospital.
