Expanded from 9,539 to 12,823 square feet, the new state-of-the-art Emergency Care centre includes 19 private rooms including 14 exam rooms. It has provided windows to most of the rooms.
Apart from that, the facility also features four rooms for mental health patients and one gynecology room. It also features two bay trauma room, two bed triage area, and new and expanded lab.
Designed with all modern healthcare facilities, the Emergency Care centre also features enhanced diagnostic imaging services, including an additional CT scanner. It also features medication room and nourishment room, electronic medical record and EpicCare.
Inova Loudoun Hospital celebrated the ribbon cutting and tours of the new emergency department on 1 May 2013.
