The concept is developed by industrial artist Francesco Maria Bandini. The labyrinth-like installation guides the visitor and lets him to re-imagine his sensitivity and interpretation of the space.
It features a towering display rising up within a pure white space with imposing prisms and topped with vibrant multi-coloured surfaces. The prisms are arranged to recreate the effect of ground “cracked” by the heat of the sun, referencing to environmental issues and the company’s commitment to sustainability.
The multi-coloured surfaces are made of InterfaceFLOR carpet tiles and are reflected in a mirrored ceiling. They act as a compass, enabling the visitor to check his position in the maze. Stairs lead to the top of one of the prisms, providing a view of the entire exhibition and the prism tops, coated in the patterns and colourful shades of InterfaceFLOR’s World Textiles, Ambiance and Design Unlimited collections.
These patterns draw inspiration from across the globe with strong environmental properties. Some of these new ranges are also inspired by nature. Based on the discipline of Biomimicry, these products echo the Earth’s natural patterns and can be installed randomly, creating less waste.
