Work included installation of new steel siding, and roofing and creation of new canopies on the southern and western entrances of the facility. The old seats in the auditorium have been substituted with new ones as part of the overhaul. The revamped facility has also been adorned with a new stage curtain and new carpeting while donning new tones in its interior.
There has been a reduction in the number of seats from 120 to 97 post renovation. The move has made the room more spacious. The old air-conditioning system has been replaced with a new upgraded and quieter system while zero-maintenance steel siding has taken the place of the outdated siding on the facility’s exterior. Other improvement works include relocating the food bar to open the lobby area, reupholstery of lobby furniture, as well as installation of new lighting and sound equipment.
Funding for the project has come in corporate grants and contributions from private enterprises. Additional funds are being raised to meet needs for creating steel siding and doors on the warehouse next to the theater, upgradation and expansion of the parking space and creation of sidewalks.
