The Centennial Building, worth $218 million, consists of new operating suites, an expanded emergency unit and new ambulatory care department. It has created an additional area of 360,000 square feet in the hospital. It will consolidate and improve programmes and services to upgrade health service delivery.
Dr. Walter Anderson Building has been constructed at a budget of $39 million. It has been been linked to the Centennial Building via an enclosed pedestrian bridge and houses lab as well as clinical support departments.
The Centennial building has been financed by the Kelowna and Vernon Hospitals Projects whereas the Anderson Building received funds from the Interior Heart and Surgical Centre Project.
