Lake Forest Park Residence has used natural materials like different types of wood and glass to connect the outside to the inside. The interior design uses clean lines and wood textures to create the contemporary decor.

Custom fabrications include the cast-glass kitchen counter, steel wall panels, suspended steel mirror frames, laser-cut steel shade valences, custom steel lighting bars, hand-blown glass light fixtures, and several custom furniture pieces. The glass wall between the master bedroom and master bathroom has been designed with the use of a hand-drawn pattern in etched glass, with the pattern being denser at the bottom.

Sustainable design practices incorporated in the project include Radiant heating under terrazzo flooring. This has created an even heat source with maximum energy efficiency. High clerestory windows bring natural light deep into the house and motorized operators allow for venting during summer months. Green materials used in the project include resin panels, quart counters, linoleum, low VOC paint, and sustainable wood products.

The design and layout of the house creates a comfortable feeling of a rustic home within a modern day design.
