The Marco Polo Jinjiang will provide 290 rooms and suites, including Marco Polo’s signature Continental Club Floor. The dining options are Café Marco, the Lobby Lounge, a Chinese restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant. The conference and banquet facilities will include the Marco Polo Ballroom, the Junior Ballroom, and seven function rooms. A recreation area features an outdoor swimming pool, health spa, and gymnasium.
With a signing ceremony being held on August 13, 2009 in Hong Kong, which was attended by the senior management of Marco Polo Hotels and Jinjiang Hongfu Hotel Company Limited, the owner of the hotel, Marco Polo opened its fifth hotel in China.
Steve Kleinschmidt, president of Marco Polo Hotels, said that the ‘Marco Polo’ brand will create major impact in the market, and ride on the long success of the Marco Polo Xiamen in the Fujian province.
