The 160-room Georgetown Marriott Hotel will be studded with a string of sustainable features and is expected to be Marriott’s first LEED hotel in the Caribbean & Latin American region.

The first Marriott branded hotel in Guyana will get a state-of-the-art architectural and interior design concept from New York-based practice Urbahn Architects. Based on the designed to ‘inspire performance’ principle of the brand, the property will offer all the services and amenities to meet the demands of the business and leisure travelers. Marriott’s nearly 500 locations in 60 countries are notable for fresh and classic design.

The new Georgetown Marriott Hotel will operate under a management agreement with Atlantic Hotel Inc (AHI). AHI is currently owned by the Government of Guyana (GoG) as part of a public-private partnership between the Government of Guyana and private sector investors.
