The new Brody Square that has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind residential experience featuring nine venues serving a variety of college staples. The building features 38 colours of paint on the walls, and the facility is now complete with inviting community spaces and new dining features.
The dining hall features a demonstration kitchen, and a tortilla-making machine that can produce 900 tortillas an hour. A new metal-and-glass façade has been added to the building. A study lounge named ‘the Grotto’ will be housed in an orange, semicircular protrusion from that façade. The Grotto construction will be completed by October 2010.
The makeover to the dining hall is part of a larger $49 million renovation of Brody Hall. The full project includes construction of a new computer lab, four classrooms and a new Sparty’s Café.
