The new system, which eliminates the need for scaffolding while painting and renovating, consists of three products.
The two-piece parting bead has anti-friction runners and a separate carrier which is secured into the parting bead groove allowing the top section to snap securely into place giving an easy access to the top sash.
Cordclam, the two part cord retainer, allows the sash cord to be easily adjusted during installation while the screw-less Boston Hinge allows the staff bead to be swung out of position to give easy access to the bottom sash.
Mike Derham, managing director of Mighton Products said, “Sash windows are often installed in large, prestigious properties where it is difficult to reach windows not on ground floor level. The thought of needing to use costly, inconvenient scaffolding for painting and renovating can put people off having timber windows installed. But window frames and sashes are now easily accessible with Mighton’s new Sash Access System.”
