Sydney Airport’s new-look international terminal will feature the Montreux Jazz’ first outlet outside Switzerland through SSP. The concept, which made its first appearance at Geneva Airport, takes its name from the annual Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. The Montreux Jazz Festival is the best-known music festival in Switzerland and one of the most prestigious in Europe.
The new café concept will follow the same winning formula as the original outlet in Geneva Airport. It will be added with a more casual menu specially customized to appeal the Australian travelers. A unique video footage that is owned exclusively by the Montreux Jazz Café and its owner Claude Nobs – the founder of the renowned festival – will be featured at the outlet.
The Sydney Airport has upgraded most of the infrastructural facilities. The improved terminal features more space, more light, streamlined customs and security procedures. The airport features Southern Hemisphere’s biggest duty free store spanning 4,000 square meters of space. The new terminal is now equipped with more food outlets and upmarket eateries. The terminal features Seafood Bar, a part of French produce house Caviar House & Prunier. Bambini Wine Room, Danks Street Depot, and Itacho Sushi are some other eateries. The new café concept is expected to complement the enhanced retail space at the terminal.
SSP is a leading contract foodservice provider that targets the transportation sector. It has more than 1,800 restaurants and other food outlets operating at approximately 400 airports, rail stations, and highway rest areas around the world.
