Designed by Texas-based HKS Hill Glazier Studio, the Omni Nashville Hotel is designed as a modern expression of the city’s distinct culture and character. The 800-room hotel will feature 80,000 square feet of meeting space and two ballrooms, four Nashville-themed restaurants, a live music venue and country music artifacts, pool and spa. It will also feature an amenity deck atop the fourth storey, which will allow guests a bird’s-eye view of downtown Nashville.

The 21-storey hotel will be connected to the expansion space of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on four levels through a walkway. The new space will be earmarked for entertainment, retail and restaurants. It will also share meeting and entertainment space with the hotel.

Employing natural materials, exposed steel and regional limestone, the hotel and expansion project is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification. The project is being privately financed by Omni Hotels & Resorts. Alabama-based Brasfield & Gorrie will serve as the general contractor on the project.

Construction on the project is expected to break ground in mid-2011.

Located on Fifth Avenue South between Demonbreun and Korean Veterans Boulevard, the development will serve as the headquarters hotel for Music City Center, Nashville’s new downtown convention center which will open in 2013.
