Scope of the project involves redesigning of the 434 guestrooms and suites, public spaces and corridors, indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, business and fitness centers.

The interiors of the newly renovated hotel will reflect the longstanding history of the Little Tokyo community. Remodelling will reflect the dynamic energy and essence of downtown Los Angeles, which will be translated by means of a unique combination of rich palette of wood tones and textures, which will deliver clean, contemporary design elements and vibrant color to the interior spaces.

The project will add comfortable furnishing, which will enhance the comfort of the guests and make the reception area more welcoming. Each guestroom or suite’s carpeting or wall treatment will be done up in red, brown and beige hues. Each room will have new beds and bed linens; 42” flat screen, LCD televisions; ergonomic work desks and chairs and high-speed internet access.

The bathrooms will receive new wall treatments, granite countertops, custom-made vanity tables, and the DoubleTree by Hilton signature line of Citron personal care amenities by Crabtree & Evelyn. The hotel’s gym will also undergo complete renovation to feature Life Fitness cardio and weight-training equipment.

Other work at the hotel includes renovation and upgrades to the 12,000 square feet of indoor event and meeting space, which is likely to be done towards the end of 2012.

Upon completion of renovation Rim Hospitality plans to re-brand the hotel as DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown in the third quarter of 2012.
