The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong is the luxury hospitality brand’s second property in Shanghai and seventh in China. The new property occupies the top 18 floors of the Shanghai IFC South Tower.

Cesar Pelli has incorporated contemporary designs with hints of new interpretations of 1930’s Shanghai Art Deco. The guest rooms and restaurants are designed to offer sweeping views over ‘The Bund’, which is considered as the most intact collection of Art Deco architecture anywhere in the world.

The interior design of the new Ritz-Carlton property has been completed by Richard Farnell. The guest rooms and suites range in size from 50 square meters to 400 square meters, for the palatial Ritz-Carlton Suite and Chairman Suite. The hotel features three floors of club accommodation, and each club room enjoys access to the hotel’s stunning Club Lounge on the 49th level.

The new Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong features a host of luxury restaurants and a bar. Restaurants include Aura Lounge and Jazz Bar, Jin Xuan, the fine dining Chinese Restaurant designed by Steve Leung; and Scena Italian Restaurant and Flair Rooftop Restaurant and bar. Both are designed by the Japanese design firm Super Potato. Flair is Shanghai’s highest al fresco dining and wining venue and is destined to be the unique new social center of Pudong and the city.

The third level features meeting and conference space spanning more than 2,500 square meters, including 1,135-square-meter Grand Ballroom, which is the second largest ballroom among the city’s luxury hotels. All meeting spaces offer floor-to-ceiling windows and natural daylight.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA is housed on the 55th floor, and occupies an area of more than 1,500 square meters. It features nine multi-function treatment rooms and a Harmony Suite. The Ritz-Carlton Spa by ESPA combines the essence of ancient and modern Chinese, Indian, European and Balinese spa cultures.
