The group will renovate the Kise Bettei Hotel in Okinawa that it took over at a cost of JPY1 billion ($129,918) before reopening it as the Ritz-Carlton Okinawa. The renovation project of the 97 guest room hotel is on track for completion in 2012. Ritz-Carlton anticipates opening the hotel in April.
The hotel overlooks the golf course down to the East China Sea, beyond to Ie Island and the Motobu Peninsula. The hotel is surrounded from three sides by an 18-hole golf course. The beauty of the hotel is magnified by the presence of an undeveloped forest on its perimeter.
The hotel has roped in ILYA Corporation for giving a fresh look to the old hotel. The new hotel will be an amalgamation of Okinawan culture and Ritz-Carlton style. This concept amalgamation will have a luxurious yet subtle effect on the décor.
Apart from the guestrooms, the hotel will have three dining outlets. Additional amenities will include a swimming pool, gymnasium and an ESPA spa.
