The facility, which opened in 2010 end, has been designed by Paulsen Architects. It has incorporated a host of eco-friendly elements such as a ground source heat pump system. The new pump system suffices both heating and cooling requirements of the building. The lighting fixtures fitted in the building are occupancy-sensor controlled and help in reducing energy usage.

The building has also been equipped with efficient water systems which add to its sustainability by running low on water consumption. The facility has also employed measures to upgrade the quality of indoor air and landscape. Other green measures include use of reclaimed and regionally-procured materials.
