The store in Mulfords Hill, which remained closed for eight days while final renovation works took place, has now almost doubled in size to 34,000 square feet.
The additional space has been designed to house a new home shop, café, pharmacy, meat and pizza counters, and a TU clothing range. It has also added more tills and 80 new parking spaces to enhance customers’ shopping experience.
Sainsbury operates a total of 872 stores comprising 537 supermarkets and 335 convenience stores. It jointly owns Sainsbury’s Bank with Lloyds Banking Group and has two property joint ventures with Land Securities Group PLC and The British Land Company PLC.
