The new student centre is designed to include dedicated meeting and event space for student organizations; an office suite for the Student Government Association; a food court with four dining venue concepts; a coffee bar; study lounges; a computer lab; dance studio and a small convenience store.
T.A. Wright Stadium or Ted Wright Stadium is a 7,500-seat multipurpose stadium named in honour of Theodore Wright, who served as the Tiger’s head football coach from 1947-1949. The facility will undergo renovation with its seating enhanced to 8,000. The stadium will also receive new amenities such as new team locker rooms, concession areas and bathrooms, a 500-seat student section and a box for student government officers to entertain visiting officials during home games.
Both projects worth $17 million are slated for completion in late 2011.
