Paula Deen is an American cook, restaurateur, author, and Emmy Award-winning television personality. The new mattress collection features an innerspring system with individually wrapped coils, soy-infused foam cushioning and Serta’s KoolComfort memory foam. A knit fabric containing silk is used for ticking.
The new mattress line developed by Serta in association with Deen has models retailing for $799 to $1,499 in queen sizes. Paul Deen Home by Serta was unveiled at Mega Group’s spring convention in Florida. The new mattress line will be available exclusively to retailers in the Mega Group USA buying group.
Serta was originally founded in 1931 by 13 mattress makers. In 2004, Serta was taken over by its largest licensee National Bedding (NB). NB then reorganized and renamed itself Serta International, now owned by Ares Corporate Opportunities Fund.
