Originally built in 1855, the revamped house features crystal chandeliers, carved marble fireplaces, heated marble floors in the bath, solid brass hardware and a slate roof comprising copper embellishments. Cherry wood has been extensively used in the entire house. The project also includes applying new tones to the building’s stone exterior to match with the exterior shades of its newly-constructed second floor.
Other features of the upgraded house include a two-way fully functional fireplace which allow glimpses of the kitchen. The kitchen portion of the fireplace comprises a swing arm with push button igniter operation to facilitate placement of large cooking pots. The kitchen dons contrasting shades of black and white. It is equipped with an antique Crystal Olive stove of the 1920s which has been restored using nickel plating.
The house’s living room incorporates a fireplace which has entirely been restored with a contemporary gas igniter. The ceiling in the basement level has been enclosed.
