TensARC says that the new fabric sails are a perfect medium for reflecting and diffusing light. They are rigid but smooth-surfaced, economical and lightweight. They are flexible to be leveled, layered or overlapped and can also be shaped into 3-D forms.
The sails, made from 90% Avora Plus and 10% Lycra, are priced from GBP89. They come in 32 colors including white, eco white, natural and black, or can have designs printed on them. They are available in stock shapes and sizes, or custom sizes to specification.
Traditionally, the high cost of tensile fabric has precluded its use for most projects. However, TensARC believes that Freeform’s lower cost will make it far more readily accessible. The company now aims to hire a skilled lighting designer to install the product and take high-quality promotional photographs.
