The facility covers an area of 120,000 square feet and comprises sports surfaces made by Mondo. The centre consists of an indoor track, four mixed-use courts for basketball, volleyball and tennis, and an artificial turf field for TU football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball and softball team practices.
The property also incorporates intramurals, club sports as well as other recreational activities. Among its other features include offices dedicated for coaches, locker rooms, an athletic training room, a pair of classrooms, and a food court.
Mondotrack has been chosen for the centre’s indoor track whereas Mondo’s Sportflex M has been selected for the multi-use courts. Mondoturf with 3NX fiber has been used for the artificial turf field.
Mondotrack offers optimum speed and ensures safety and comfort for high-speed competition and training. Sportflex M indoor-outdoor multipurpose rubber flooring has the capacity to withstand static and rolling loads. Its stain-resistant nature and ability to be used without any coatings or special maintenance enhances its functionality. Mondoturf is Mondo’s latest artificial turf system. 3NX fiber offers a blend of resilience, durability, and comfort.
Construction of the centre forms part of a wider scheme undertaken by the University to enhance its campus facilities.
