The ‘Unbalance Hotel’ project is currently under design development phase.
The project is located in front of the Pacific Ocean, in a quiet area outside of the city centre. It is expected to be built ‘hanging on a cliff’ with a relative height, which appears due to the proximity of the Andes to the Pacific Ocean. This also explains the unusual naming of the project, though it is not official yet.
The design has taken advantage of the unique topography. Instead of building a hotel in a traditional way which would create a visual barrier, the architects have envisioned a frame-building that captures the views of both the land and sea.
The 125-room hotel is expected to feature restaurants, conference rooms, meeting rooms, and exhibitions. It will span over 16, 070 square metres.
